There is ample evidence that the Tech industry, and particularly Silicon Valley firms, has a diversity and climate problem. Most prominently, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission recently reviewed the substantial literature suggesting gender and racial bias in employment in this sector. That report also examined the evidence of the supply of women and underrepresented minorities and concluded that while there may be some limits in the diversity of available labor, there is substantial attrition of women and minorities in post-education access to Tech firms and high rates of turnover once hired.

The good news: Once they are gainfully employed, and over the duration of their careers, many STEMMERs, actually earn more money than some professional athletes!

So, whether a young person wishes to pursue a career in professional sports as a STEMMER, such as a statistician, bracketology, sports doctor – or pursue a career as a tech entrepreneur or educator – it vitally important that young people and their families have the tools on tap to successfully matriculate. Our goal is to be a comprehensive source of inspiration, financial and academic resources for young people who have an interest in pursuing lucrative careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, Education and Research.

Because STEMMER-related academic subject matter can be more difficult for many students, we are laser focused on helping parents and students achieve their dreams, including gaining entry to higher education and successfully matriculating.
